Dawn Frankwick, MD, FACOG

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and went on to receive my medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. I completed my residency programs in Milwaukee and New York City. I have practiced at Northwest Hospital since 1988. I stay current with the latest developments in OB/GYN through board recertification programs and at least 50 hours of continuing medical education course work each year. I volunteer as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and with Remote Area Medical in the Cervical Cancer Screening program in Guyana South America.

My special interests include high-risk obstetrics, contraception, evaluation of abnormal Pap smears, laparoscopic surgery, menopausal issues and treatment of heavy menses. I am open to the use of complementary medical practices.

My colleagues and I at Meridian Women’s Health have similar practice philosophies and treat our patients with sensitivity and respect.

I’m happily married and enjoy riding a tandem bike with my husband. I love to travel and I’m a passionate quilter

Pat Rodrigues, MD, FACOG

I am a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 and my medical degree in 1988, both with honors.  My internship and residency were completed at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.  In addition, I have completed  several post-graduate courses per year in various specialty areas of OB/GYN.  I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Following residency, I joined a six-person OB/GYN group in New Haven, CT.  I moved to Seattle in 1994, operating a solo practice at Northwest Hospital, which expanded into Meridian Women's Health.

My practice is limited to Gynecology.  My special interests include:

  • Vaginal, Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery
  • Menopause
  • Colposcopy
  • Contraception
  • Infertility
  • Patient Education

Carol Salerno, MD, FACOG

After graduating from Stanford University, I attended the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and earned my degree in 1999.  I completed my residency training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hermann Hospital, affiliated with the University of Texas, Houston Medical School.  I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I moved to Seattle with my family in July of 2003.

I enjoy my practice in obstetrics and gynecology because it is challenging as well as extremely rewarding to care for women in all stages of life.  My special interests include:

  • High-risk obstetrics
  • Ultrasound
  • Patient Education
  • Gynecological surgery, including laparoscopic and vaginal surgery.
  • Cervical Dysplasia
  • Menstrual Disorders
  • Contraception and Family Planning
  • Menopausal Issues

I am especially interested in helping women prepare for the transition to motherhood.

Danae VU, MD, FACOG

After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, I headed east to attend New York Medical College where I received my medical degree in 1997. I then completed my residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. I practiced for two years at the University Hospital in Syracuse, New York where I was fortunate to find a faculty and staff that nurtured the spirit of providing care and not just practicing medicine. However, I yearned to return to the west coast and so my family and I moved to Seattle in 2003. I am Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

My interests include:

  • Contraception and Family Planning
  • High-Risk Obstetrics
  • Lactation
  • Menstrual Disorders
  • Menopause
  • Cervical Dysplasia
  • Laparoscopic Surgery
  • Hysteroscopy

I very much enjoy obstetrics and gynecology and believe that my practice style reflects this. While good efficient healthcare is the goal, it starts with a warm and positive relationship with you.
